my car situation is a joke

the nissan (aka murray) is in the shop right now for some brake related issues and a severe alignment problem (no lie--my arms actually get fatigued as if i was working out when i drive that thing longer than 30ish minutes. it tries SO hard to pull you to the left into oncoming traffic. what a jerk).

the buick (borris) is the car i am currently stuck with. it sucks. the following is a list of some of the reasons why it is such a piece:
+sounds like a semi
+locks on both inside and outside of the doors are temperamental
+door handles are flimsy pieces of inch long plastic strips, oriented in a vertical fashion, that tend to freeze over and feel like they will snap off in the cold
+driver's window doesn't roll down all the way, and makes an awful noise when it tries to roll down any further than 3 inches open. (very helpful when i have to roll open the window to swipe my bag into the parking lot for work every morning)
+seat belts are attached to the door (yes, weird and dangerous), and have no 'catch' mechanism (if you pull them hard they do not lock)
+no airbags
+no cup holders (wtf is up with this??)
+no cd player
+radio is in and out//static-y
and most importantly, HAS NO HEAT. i damn near got frost bite driving home from work today, even though i was bundled up in hat, scarf, mittens, uggs, and long coat. also, there are sheets of ice on the windshield, back window, and on the hood that have not melted from when it snowed over the weekend. yes. on the HOOD of the car. aka where the engine is. after 45 min of driving, the car does not heat up enough to melt this stuff. that can't be a good sign.

BUT the good news is......
my wonderful boy is selling me his acura! yes! a car from this decade!! so excited. (mostly about the cup holders. do you know how hard it is to balance a cup of coffee in your lap for 30 min??)

  1. ok. WHOA. if you hate boris (not borris) that much then you dont deserve to drive him! i love him despite his flaws.
